Description |
Circa 1930 folding fan of black paper leaf attached to black wooden sticks; the guard sticks are enameled black and all are held together by a metal pin and loop at the bottom. The front leaf of the fan is painted in white with a design of two large roses and rosebuds with decorated abstract motif at both ends. Painted on the sticks is a single rosebud with leaves, thorns and stems. The top edge of each is silver. Stamped on back is the word JAPAN. Condition is quite good, minor tears at top. |
