Description |
1870 's - One piece cotton floral print dress, 23 - 24" waist, handmade button holes, 18 button holes down center front - varied pearl buttons, some maybe replacements. Bodice lined with coarser tan cotton, 2 bones in bodice inner waist band of tan cotton. Stand up collar, watch pocket, left front just below waist. 3/4 length shaped sleeve; little flaps on back may have been a bustle probably worn over an underskirt. The bodice at neck in back is gathered, then full, then tighter with a train. Skirt is basically 2 pieces, all attached. Cream background with blue roses and maroon leaves. Long sleeves go down to wrist. |
