Caroline Krenzer was the daughter of Lawrence and Irene Krenzer, they lived on Hambro Park in the Village of Caledonia. Caroline died in her early 30's. When her parents died their home was donated to St. Columba's Parish and was used to house a Vietnamese refugee family for a few years. While cleaning the house in preparation for the Vietnamese family the volunteers from the church found two photo albums that were well constructed and even labeled. Vonnie Pullyblank took them home and put them in a trunk. She rediscovered them in the summer of 2008 and donated them to the museum. The albums has pictures of the CMCS class of 1953, school events, weddings of classmates and friends Vonnie shared a strory about her freindship with Caroline Krenzer. Caroline talked her into going on a 5 day girl scount camping experience at Camp Sam Wood. As counselors they decided the scouts would eat healthy so they took all "junk food" from them to dole it out over the camp session. The candy, cookies and chips were stored in Vonnie's tent. During the night she was awakened by noises and found several skunkssharing her tent and the treats. Vonnie was panicked but the skunks were unfazed. |
